Albert Kennedy Trust
The Albert Kennedy Trust is a voluntary organisation based in England, created to serve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transexual (LGBT) young people in a housing crisis. The Trust is named after Albert Kennedy, a 16-year-old runaway from a children’s home in Salford. He died after falling from a car park roof, while being chased by several attackers in a car. AKT work to ensure that all LGBT young people are able to live in accepting, supportive and caring homes, by providing a range of services to meet the individual needs of those who would otherwise be homeless or living in a hostile environment. AKT aims to improve attitudes towards LGBT young people and promote greater understanding of LGBT young people wherever they live.
