MAG is one of the leading
mine action organisations in the world. It began in 1989 and currently runs
clearing operations in Angola, Cambodia, Iraq, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Afghanistan,
Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Sudan, DR Congo, Chad and more. They recruit and train
local staff, create multi-skilled demining teams, provide emergency response,
give mine risk education in schools and villages and keep abreast of new
advances in mine clearance technology. |
