MAT was formed in May 1999
in response to the conflict in Kosovo. Education projects were started to
safeguard the lives of local communities, particularly children. Five years
on, MAT has implemented highly acclaimed sustainable community based mine
risk education, clearance and assistance projects in Eritrea, Sudan, the
Democratic Republic of Congo, Sri Lanka and Uganda.
