Brain Injury Awareness Week is taking place, week commencing 31st March 2008.
Our aim is to raise the profile of brain injury and emphasise the need for greater safety measures throughout society to prevent more people suffering brain injuries. The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) has services around the country where we help rehabilitate people, to regain the skills lost as a result of brain injury - whether caused by road accident, assault, stroke or illness.
We are marking Brain Injury Awareness Week by holding various Team Challenges, to be completed, ideally, during the week commencing 31st March.
We would love to hear from either individuals or teams who are interested in volunteering, whilst having fun with colleagues or friends. Tasks range from gardening to painting and will take up to a day to complete. We are currently looking for people to carry out challenges at the following services:
- York, Heslington Road, York, YO10 5BN
- Liverpool, 7 Birt Close, Liverpool, L8 7SZ
- Slinfold, Five Oaks Road, Slinfold, West Sussex, RH13 0TP
- Milton Keynes, 37 Belvoir Avenue, Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes, MK4 2JA
- Aylesbury, 1 Haslerig Close, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP21 9PH
