URGENT! The Moray Firth dolphins need you.  Please sign the petition now to Protect Our Dolphins. We wrote recently with the shocking news that the UK Government is likely to allow oil and gas exploration and production in a dolphin sanctuary in the Moray Firth, Scotland. In combination with other threats, this could drive a very special group of dolphins to extinction. We’re now stepping up our campaign to keep oil and gas out of the sanctuary.

You may have seen our campaign on Channel Four news last week. We urgently need your help. By signing our new on-line petition, you can help us ensure that the Government gets the message loud and clear – Protect Our Dolphins!

This is your chance to have your say about the future of these amazing animals. The Government has allowed until mid March for the public to comment on their plan. We'll deliver our petition to the Government before the end of this consultation period and the more people that are signed up to it, the stronger the pressure to protect the dolphins. With only around 130 individuals remaining, the small, isolated group of dolphins in the Moray Firth is extremely vulnerable.

We believe these intelligent and rare animals deserve the protection that the Government promised when they created the sanctuary. Please sign our petition today and urge the Government not to break its promise.
