Is Volunteering for You? Are you of a confident nature and a people person? Do you enjoy mixing with new people and talking to them? We are looking for Volunteers to help us raise funds and raise our profile here in the local community in Ringwood, Hampshire. It may be that you could help us by giving presentations and talks about the British Liver Trust to local groups and clubs, or that you would like to act as our representative within schools in and around the New Forest, or simply just help us out with a fundraising event for a few hours.
- Volunteering for the British Liver Trust could be a way of turning your interests and passions into action. You give your time to do something useful, and in return you can get the satisfaction of time and effort well spent. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, gain useful experience and have a sense of purpose. You don't have to be personally affected by Liver Disease in order to help.
- Our volunteers are an invaluable resource and fulfil a wide variety of roles throughout the Trust. Everyone has something to contribute. We will we reimburse out of pocket expenses and provide you with all the information and support you need. You will be given a full induction, and will have the resource of all the team at the British Liver Trust to further your knowledge. We want you to feel that you belong.
- Volunteers join us for many reasons and we aim to make volunteering as flexible as possible. Whatever you have to give, it's your choice.
- We have opportunities for you to help at the British Liver Trust. Your generosity will be much appreciated, not only by us, but by all the people we are trying to help.
- The staff at the British Liver Trust are full of great ideas, but resources are limited. Our volunteers are very valuable in that they enable the trust to bring those ideas to fruition.
- We are committed to ensuring that every volunteer has a rewarding and meaningful experience, and that you know you are a vital part of the team. Without your help, our work would be greatly diminished.
You could play it safe and stay at home of course, but think what you might be missing! Often the most difficult part of volunteering is making the first move, so be brave! If you would like to discuss volunteering opportunities at the Trust please call me on 01425 481335 or email lisa.fletcher@britishlivertrust.org.uk Lisa Fletcher Community Fundraising Officer
