Grass Roof Man

I've just come across this article on John Little who is doing amazing work with grass roofs - yes, grass roofs. I first came across them a while ago but didn't know that there was a company specialising in them.

John Little is the most recent person featured in Fran Monk's inspiring portraits in her project How to Make a Difference. And after being in the family shoe business for a while he wanted to take a different path and started The Grass Roof Company.

Brilliant... he's the kind of person I admire, as he is someone who is making a difference (and is an example of what individuals can achieve) by protecting the environment.

In December and January, Community Channel will have a climate change season in support of the 10:10 campaign to coincide with the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen 7-18 Dec 09.
