Community Channel is working with the Volunteer Centre Camden and the Surma Centre to highlight volunteering opportunities in the London Borough of Camden.
We are organising Camden Volunteer Day 2006 - a local initiative to encourage people to lend a hand and get involved in helping out in the local community.
Whatever your age, background, experience or ability there is something you can get back by giving an hour a week or a few hours a month.
Surma Centre
The Surma Centre is set in the heart of the Camden Community and is home to many different projects. These include Adult and Community Learning, the Bengali Womens Health Project and Bengali Workers Association. There are activities for all ages suiting a wide variety of interests. The hall in the centre is also available for hire. For further information contact Jilani on 020 7387 8731
