They're young, hard working and about to be tested to the limit on a life-changing experience that their employers hope will prepare them for life, let alone a career!
In Challenge Africa, forty Land Rover apprentices travel to Tanzania to gain bush and survival skills. The main task of their mission is to rebuild a primary school in a remote rural location.
 Apprentices out of Africa
The group make beaded jewelry under the tutelage of the Masai. They recycle tyres into sandals. They milk goats and learn the value of the goat herd to the tribe's health. And a highlight for all of them is a close encounter with the wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater.
 Repairing Katega Primary School
It's a rewarding experience: "It makes it all real, to be fair," says one of the apprentices. "You can put faces to who you've helped," says another as he reflects on the fact that he's helped 45 children get a better education.
 Awaiting a new classroom
The programme charts their personal journeys and shows the difference a group of young lads can make to a rural African community living on scant resources.
