Time for Health

Health Month '07

Health Month '07 is all about promoting the value of volunteering in health and social care across the UK.

Research shows that over 11 million people are waiting to volunteer but many find it difficult to find a way to do it.

Health Month '07 in January aims to improve the profile of volunteering in health, and to get people and local communities involved in health issues.

Run by the Time for Health partnership in conjunction with Community Channel, activities will take place across the month to celebrate volunteering in health and to encourage and enable more people to get involved.

Activities include:

Time for Health is a ground breaking initiative formed in June 2006 between significant organisations working in health. It aims to provide a representative voice for volunteering in the NHS, paving the way for closer working between over 200,000 volunteers in over 1,000 health and social care locations across the UK.
