PATRICIO

CHRIS

Chris
Recycling queen
Ever wondered what happens to your clothes once you drop them off at the charity shop? Well there’s a pretty good chance they may end up at one of Chris’ warehouses.

Chris is the fourth generation of her family to run a rag and bone clothes stall in Deptford market.  These days she’s also exporting clothes to Africa, but rising property prices are putting her business under threat and she’s now being forced to consider leaving the area she loves.

ERNIE AND BARRIE

Ernie
Young at heart
A father and son business that has stood the test of time, Witcombs Cycles has been hand making bicycles for over 40 years and has set its name in cycling history through its links to the Tour De France.

But even though 88-year-old Ernie is keen to keep the business going, son Barry has his sights set on retirement.  What future is there for this family-run enterprise?

CAFFY

If there’s a gig going down in Deptford, there’s only one person to come and see - Caffy.

Caffy
Keeping the music alive

Caffy is a self-appointed promoter of Deptford Music Tourism and is pulling out all the stops to encourage music lovers to support local bands. Watch her setting up a three-day event and hear why she’s so passionate about South East London life!
