Ups Not Downs

when is this on?

This isn't scheduled anytime soon.

Joe was born with Down's syndrome five years ago.

At first his family was worried about how they would cope but, has it really been that hard? His parents and siblings tell us about life with Joe.

This personal documentary shows how one ordinary family - Joe, his mother, father, sister and brother - have dealt with Joe and living with a family member who has Down's syndrome.

It's an affectionate portrait of a young boy who, as the film shows, is engaging to be with and has an endearing personality.  In a series of interviews, it charts how their views have changed.

Joe and family
All members of the family were initially worried when Joe was born about how their lives would be bringing up a child with this condition.

But after five years, they are still worried but now it's a protective concern about how others will deal with the son and brother that they all adore.
