In four programmes over four days, filmmaker Kara Miller talks to actor George Harris, journalist Precious Williams, director Alrick Riley and writer Paul Crooks to find out how they started out, what motivates them and how they've achieved so much.
Actor George Harris is internationally known for his roles in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Black Hawk Down, Layer Cake and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He starts the series off on the Channel.
Journalist Precious Williams works for top magazines and newspapers in the UK, USA and Germany. She's had many fascinating stories to tell and shares them in her programme.
Film director, Alrick Riley, is the first and only black British director to win a BAFTA, with directing credits that include Cops, Spooks, Hustle and Hotel Babylon. He talks to Kara about film making.
Paul Crooks is a writer who's spent twenty years on a quest to trace his ancestry. His critically acclaimed novel Ancestors was inspired by the search for his African roots. He tells his story to Kara.
