 Gareth - investigating Crohn's disease Our November programmes focus on health. We feature a major new five part series every Thursday called What Can Science Do for Me?
It follows five people with chronic health conditions as they meet scientists whose cutting edge research into diagnosis and treatment gives them a glimpse of new horizons in their particular condition.
To mark Enterprise Week we have a new half hour documentary called Profits for the People which looks at the growth of this new, pioneering type of business, and a series of inspiring social enterprise stories called Cash that Cares.
1 - 4 November
What Can Science Do for Me? Crohn's Disease - Thurs 1st Nov @ 8pm
Join stand-up comic Gareth Berliner as he meets scientists researching Crohn’s Disease to find out what is known about his condition and whether there is any chance of a cure.
 AfriCANS AfriCANS: Real Saharawi - Sat 3 Nov @ 9pm
In 1975 the Western Sahara was invaded by Morocco and Mauritiania, forcing the nomadic Saharawi people into refugee camps in Algeria, where they remain to this day. Many went to Cuba to get an education and bring back new skills. This is one young man's account of that journey.

Debbie Grice is a talented landscape artist with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Follow her as she meets scientists devoted to understanding and treating this disabling condition.
Hambantota Hopes - Sat 10 Nov @ 9pm
Meet the doctors providing free plastic surgery to people in developing countries that suffer from serious injuries and congenital defects, such as cleft palates. The film follows a junior surgeon and volunteer, Charlie, on a trip to Hambantota in Sri Lanka getting to grips with the working conditions and some harrowing circumstances.

What Can Science Do for Me? Multiple Sclerosis - Thurs 15 Nov @ 8pm
Michelle Mullen is a singer-songwriter with multiple sclerosis. This film documents her meetings with scientists working on understanding and treating this disabling neurological condition.
Profits for the People - Thurs 15 Nov @ 9pm
A new look at how social enterprise has grown and is altering the business landscape and whether business for good has come of age. This film looks at different types of social enterprise and asks the experts what it all means.
Cash That Cares - Thurs 15 Nov @ 9.30pm
A series of inspiring stories about young social entrepreneurs who are making cash ... and a difference. Make your Mark: Change Lives, Magic Breakfast and Plastic Ain’t my Bag showcase the best in philanthropic young movers and shakers.
19 - 25 November
 Olympics vs Allotments Olympics vs Allotments - Wed 21 Nov @ 9pm
East London allotments have existed for 80 years but are now being threatened by development plans for the 2012 Olympics. The locals now fear for the long-term future of their green oases.
What Can Science Do for Me? Autism - Thurs 22 Nov @ 8pm
Parents Steve and Parool Jeppesen embark on a journey to discover more about their son’s autism. They visit scientists working on understanding and treating this mysterious developmental disorder.
26 - 30 November
 Singer Ian - Cystic Fibrosis Different Strokes - Mon 26 Nov @ 8.30pm
‘The Third Sex’ in India are coming out from the shadows of society. An identity crisis has haunted Mangla since childhood. She has had to face the brunt of social taboos – and HIV / AIDS - alone. She has now found some piece of mind after leaving behind her life as a prostitute to work for an AIDS organisation.
What Can Science Do for Me? Cystic Fibrosis - Thurs 29 Nov @ 8pm
35-year-old Ian Tucker was born with Cystic Fibrosis. The final part of this new series follows him as he meets some of the scientists researching this complex genetic disease.
