Competition Winners

We ran several competitions in September and October with a variety of prizes. Here are the lucky winners!

Britain in Bloom Competition
Two great prizes given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) were on offer here - tickets to next year's Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and 2 copies of the book Grow Your Own Veg by Carol Klein - for those who knew that Vivienne had seen slugs as big as mice!

I Had a Black Dog book

Congratulations to Lynda from Wallasey who won the tickets... and Cathy in Manchester and Maggie in Alcester who are the recipients of Carol Klein's book.

Mad for ... Competition
This competition coincided with Mental Health Week, and we had some beautifully illustrated books I Had a Black Dog by Matthew Johnstone to be won. Who coined the phrase Black Dog? It was Winston Churchill.

Julie from Liverpool, Christine from Southampton, Iain from Stornoway, and Judith from Wakefield were the lucky winners.

Black History Month Competition
Levi Roots and his distinct Reggae Reggae sauce was on offer in this competition. As many of you knew, Levi is famous for his appearance on Dragon's Den. The 20 winners have been drawn and will be getting their bottle of sauce and Levi's note.

Sports gift voucher

Skills through Volunteering Competition
Congratulations to Mark from Bisley, Surrey, whose name and correct answer were drawn for the £100 sports gift voucher. In the competition Iain was putting on an Everton shirt in the film Extra Time. All football fans found that an easy one!
