This film celebrates the diversity of volunteering with Attend in Health. DJing, painting, flower arranging, wheelchair training and befriending. This colourful and upbeat film follows a number of volunteers offering their skills by doing what they enjoy doing most. 

IT'S ABOUT TIME

Time Banks UK is a 21st Century answer to volunteering. This film explores  how a community of people are ‘banking’ their volunteering time in exchange for receiving help from others.  Everyone as something to offer and gain.   

TAKE A CHANCE

Gambling is a large problem in the Chinese community and Chinese Mental Health Association trains up volunteers to offer support to people with gambling addiction. An additional version of this film will also have Chinese subtitles.

Paul has learning difficulties but is one of Shop-Mobility Manchester's star volunteers, helping others with disabilities and mobility problems to enjoy Manchester town centre.. This film is 'the day in the life of Paul' who gets as much out of volunteering as he gives.

Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter supports ill treated animals across the North East, but would not be able to operate without its volunteers. This film shows the work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure funds are received year after year. 

YOU LIVE, YOU LEARN 
Produced by Eyeline Productions, Leeds
You Live You Learn theatre project uses volunteers from the local community to dramatise the real life stories of those around them. This film, produced by Leeds based production company Eyeline Productions, demonstrates the importance of communicating personal barriers that people face and addressing urban issues in creative ways. This project is run by Fresh Horizons, as part of a larger physical & economic regeneration of one of the most deprived wards in England.

It’s all about U was broadcast on Community Channel on Wednesday 5th December 2007 (UN International Volunteers Day) and can be seen throughout January 2008.
