Sporting Futures
Some early signed up runners!
Runners in Derbyshire are being challenged to run in a 10k race to help raise £10,000 for a sports charity.

Sporting Futures has launched its Championing Derbyshire Corporate Team Challenge for workforces across the county to take part in the Derbyshire Building Society 10k run on April 20.

The event, which will take runners through Derby city centre before finishing inside Pride Park Stadium, aims to raise money to support young people who are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour or crime.

Peter Richardson, chief executive of Derbyshire Building Society, said: "Sporting Futures is a fantastic charity which does great work in engaging young people through sport and healthy living and this event gives businesses and organisations from across the county the chance to join together, have fun, take part in some friendly competition and help this extremely worthy local cause."
