Three short films made by teenage refugees comparing their experiences of arriving in Britain today with those of survivors of the Kindertransport from Nazi Germany.

Kindertransport was a mass evacuation of Jewish children which took place in 1939.  Many of those on the Kindertransport never saw their parents again.

Arrivals

Kindertransport survivor, Dorothy Fleming, describes how at the age of ten she and her younger sister, aged four, were sent to England to escape persecution and how unlike the vast majority of the 10,000 in the Kindertransport, they were eventually reunited with their parents.


One Way Ticket

Another Kindertransport survivor, Susan Pearson, recalls leaving her home in Prague after the Nazi invasion and how she felt arriving in England - an experience well-understood by the teenage Casha Nur from Somalia, who had to leave her mother back in her homeland.
