World Naked Bike Ride

when is this on?

This isn't scheduled anytime soon.

This year, naked bike rides take place in seven major cities across the UK from 6th - 14th June.

And the purpose of the World Naked Bike Ride - to protest against oil dependency and the car culture - couldn't be more timely.

As a protest, hundreds of naked cyclists taking to the streets may seem a bit frivolous, but the issues behind it are deadly serious.

- to reduce oil dependency and promote a car free culture

- to change the way people think about transport

- to show the vulnerability of cyclists in busy cities, and

- to celebrate the body

This film looks at how the protest first started and it follows those stripping for their cause when the protest first moved from the parks to the busy streets of London in 2006.

Narrated by Jon Snow, it's a humorous look at this unique event.
