Introduced by Kelly Rowlands Meeting Mandela brings four young people to South Africa to talk to Nelson Mandela about some of the key issues affecting them and the world today.

They have a unique opportunity to talk to the great man about his life and how he dealt with issues of conflict, reconciliation, democracy and HIV/AIDS.

  • Henry from Uganda is at the heart of HIV/AIDS issue. He is HIV positive and his father and brother both died of AIDS.  Henry spends time raising awareness of the disease and supporting those who have it, but he feels he is losing the struggle.

  •
  • Min Zin is fighting to bring democracy to Burma. He has been in hiding for years, and now lives in Thailand where he writes and broadcasts to the Burmese people.

  • Guy and Jumana are on different sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Guy is Israeli and lost his 17 year-old sister in a suicide attack.  Jumana's father was shot by the Israeli army on his way back from market and she sees the conflict from a Palestinian perspective.
