This week's episode includes Truetube's look at poverty in Britain, and three profiles of projects that provide opportunities and skills for young people.

Truetube

This week Truetube examines the view that ‘There Is No Real Poverty In Britain’.  It looks at how standards of living can have an impact on health, and it hears from Rebecca, a young former hostel tenant about her experiences of living on the breadline.  In part two we visit the charity Crisis to look at how they help homeless people at Christmas.

Live Futures

Live Futures is an initiative in South London whose aim is to educate and inform young people.  It is a magazine, two websites and record label entirely run by young volunteers between the ages of 12 and 21.  This film highlights how the initiative has helped propel young people into the careers of their dreams. 

UKYP

This film challenges assumptions about young people and shows the difference they can make when their voices are heard on issues that matter to them. The UK Youth Parliament provides opportunities for young people across the UK to get involved and in this film, we follow members of the Youth Parliament as they campaign against gun and knife crime. 

Football +

This film showcases the positive, motivating work of the Football+ project, a national football league for people with disabilities and learning difficulties.  It's a project run by the Limbless Association and Chelsea Football in the community.
