Swimming Your Sport are programmes on Community Channel which look at grassroots sports and projects that engage local communities in sporting activities.
Your Sport
There have been two series of Your Sport which look at the personal and community benefits of grassroots sport. They were devised with media industry backing (from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4) and supported by major players in community sport.
A third series is being planned and will broadcast in 2010.
Your Film
Badminton If you would like to participate, we are interested in showing distinctive films about the power of community sport.
Are you telling a story about how, when, where and why a club or project started or giving a personal account of those people who use and benefit from it?
Contributions can be any length from 2-minutes right through to a 1-hour documentary.
If you are considering making a film and need advice have a look at our film-maker’s guide.
We prefer films to be delivered on tape - DV Cam, DVC Pro, Mini DV, Beta SP or Digi Beta. If you are sending a film electronically a Quicktime file is acceptable. We can accept DVD but only as a last resort.
Send your films to: Dominic Cotton, Community Channel, 2nd Floor, Riverwalk House, 157-161 Millbank, London, SW1P 4RR.
