It's a new weekly series on Community Channel for 8 weeks from Monday 6 October 2008.

You can watch it from Mon - Fri @ 12.30 pm/6.30 pm/12.30 am.

It’s a brand new television show intended for people with an interest in Higher and Further Education as well as anyone working in these areas.

New weekly series

Education Now! features news and views from the world of education. It showcases the latest developments from colleges, universities and other educational bodies.

In the first episode we visit Hartlepool College, Tyne Metropolitan College and Stockport College to look into exam results and discuss whether targets and league tables are giving a distorted picture of colleges’ and students’ success.

We also look at how the DCSF (Department of Children, Schools and Families) is playing a central role in helping children achieve their potential and enjoy their childhood.

The 21st century school's project is excellent teaching and learning where young people develop confidence, self-respect and respect for others. They learn about teamwork and leadership and about responsibility and successful relationships.
