The organisation helps train defence lawyers and has set up a network resource centres around the country to help people get a fair trial. Her long term aim is to bring about a global change in the administration of criminal justice. 


Amitabha Sandangi – Tackling poverty in India
Amitabha Sandangi's vision is to empower India’s rural poor by supplying affordable, sustainable agricultural tools and systems. He's introduced low-tech and highly efficient methods through his organisation International Development Enterprises. For as little as $1, poor farmers can increase the yield of their crops, produce more food and more earnings. As a result they're able to afford better health care and education for their children.


Dorothy Stoneman –  Alternative futures for youth
Harvard graduate, Dorothy Stoneman joined the civil rights movement and lived in Harlem for 20 years.  She started YouthBuild after experiencing homelessness and disaffected young people at firsthand.  YouthBuild tries to create a positive future for low-income young people and each year engages 8,000 youths in local initiatives across the USA.


Blaise Judja-Sato – Delivering health to the poor
Blaise Judja-Sato was a successful US businessman when devastating floods in Mozambique prompted his return to Africa. While helping with relief efforts he saw how difficult it was to get medicines that 'last mile' to those in need.  He set up VillageReach, to ensure that vital supplies reached the most remote areas. His organisation has set up and trained staff in 251 clinics to serve more than 5 million people.
