Your Sport - 24 November

This week on Your Sport we're at the School Sport Matters Awards, we see how football is uniting people in war-torn West Africa and we hear about the work that national charity Street Games is doing on the south coast of England. 
  

School Sport

The School Sport Matters Awards is open to secondary schools across the UK and aims to highlight sporting achievement in the school environment. We hear from members of a high profile judging panel and the proud recipients of awards which are championed by Join Our Team.

Football for Peace

During the late 90s the West African country of Liberia was torn apart by political and civil unrest. Since then recovery has been slow. We see how the United Nations Sport for Peace movement has been integral to that process uniting people who'd previously been fighting on opposite sides.

Active Hastings

StreetGames is a national charity dedicated to developing sport in disadvantaged UK communities. It champions 'doorstep sport' - positive activities delivered at the right time and place and in the right way. We're in Hastings to see the project in action.
