What happens when a group of young people more used to daubing walls with graffiti and gathering on street corners take to the dance floor in a challenge that explodes some hard and fast cultural myths.

Even more intriguing is the prospect of a group of elderly people who are challenged to prove themselves 'on the streets' and create some contemporary urban art.

Age Swap is an affectionate look at two different worlds in which the teenagers of Dagenham come face to face with some senior citizens of Kingsley Hall in a challenge that both sides take up with enthusiasm.

After trying their hand at tea dancing, students from Sydney Russell School agree to take part in a public tea dance in two week's time. And keeping their side of the bargain, the older folk put on their 'street gear' and learn how to wield a spray can creatively.
