In March we highlight three powerful and topical programmes.  Oxfam's Sisters on the Planet looks at climate change and how it affects women.  Rain in My Heart takes a hard look at people whose alcoholism is destroying their lives.

In a new Community Channel programme on 22nd March, Let's Go Dancing on Ice sees how young people with disabilities have been inspired by ITV's Dancing on Ice and we take them to meet the stars of the show.

2nd - 8th March

Sisters on the Planet - Sunday 8th March @ 8.30 pm
This programme - to mark International Women's Day - examines the impact of climate change on women around the world. According to Oxfam, climate change is ‘hitting women hardest’ and these films hear from four women from different parts of the world - Brazil, Bangladesh, and Uganda. They are determined to put a stop to climate change and to inspire others to do the same.

Let's Go Dancing on Ice - Sunday 22nd March @ 9.00 pm
Ice-skating has grown in popularity in the UK, helped by the huge success of ITV’s Dancing on Ice. This new documentary follows three young people who have overcome barriers to take to the ice.  We meet them, and they meet Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and the stars when we go behind the scenes at this year's Dancing on Ice.

Working with three charities, Whizz-Kidz, Action for Blind People and SPICE, Lets Go Dancing on Ice, shows the impact ice-skating has had on young people with disabilities or a special need, when they take to the ice.
