Supporters at 10:10 launch on 1 Sep 2009 Community Channel and our parent company Media Trust are supporting the 10:10 campaign, an ambitious project aimed at cutting the UK's carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.
Campaign
At Community Channel we're committed to raising awareness of climate change and promoting sustainable living to coincide with the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December and beyond.
Climate Change Season in December and January
Signing up to a low carbon environment Our first initiative is to dedicate Community Channel's programmes throughout December and January to the issue of climate change and its impact on the world around us.
Working with broadcasters, independent filmmakers and environmental organisations such as Friends of the Earth, Christian Aid, BTCV, Greenpeace, UNEP, and many others, we will have a compelling mix of shows about the challenge of climate change, and how it affects individuals and communities.
Our programmes will include:
The Making of the Age of Stupid, how this thought provoking film was made ... watch the video
The Making of the Age of Stupid Blue Gold about the growing fight over water ... watch the trailer
Oil Storm on the world's dependence on vulnerable oil supplies .. watch the trailer
