A Sikh's Journey Home

This film depicts a year in the life of the Mankoo family, in which London train driver Dari Mankoo wants to make his daughters more aware of their roots by taking them on a potentially life-changing trip to India.

Back to their roots in India

The family has lived in London for the past 30 years but came to the UK from Kenya.

It's the family's mutual dream to go on this life changing journey to India which takes them back to their religious roots in the Punjab. Dari wants to show his daughters the country of his ancestors.

This is a story symbolising the hurdles faced by families caught up in the clash of cultures, religions, generations and genders in the 21st century.
