The Beacon Prize Awards 2008

The call has gone out from the Beacon Fellowship Charitable Trust for nominations for its 2010 Beacon Prize. 

The charity is searching for individuals in the UK who have made a significant philanthropic contribution in giving time, money or skills to a specific cause.

This has been described as the 'Nobel Prize of the charity world' and it aims to recognise extraordinary achievements in this field.

There are seven categories and an additional overall prize of £30,000 for the winner to donate to the charity of their choice.

Do you know someone who deserves a Beacon Prize?

- Perhaps a young person who has used initiative in helping otheres?

- Or someone who has used thheir skills to help transform a charity?

- Has someone you know created an idea that has changed people's lives?
