The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)

WWF-UK is the UK arm of the WWF Network, the world’s leading environmental organisation. WWF is working on issues regarding the conservation, research and restoration of the environment. The group says its mission is "to halt and reverse the destruction of our environment". Much of its work focuses on the conservation of three biomes that contain most of the world's biodiversity: forests, freshwater ecosystems, and oceans and coasts. WWF-UK addresses global threats to people and nature such as the unsustainable consumption of the world’s natural resources. It is also concerned with endangered species, pollution and climate change. WWF uses its practical experience, knowledge and credibility to create long-term solutions for the planet’s environment.
