Stonewall

Stonewall is a lesbian, gay and bisexual rights charity in the UK named after the Stonewall Inn of Stonewall riots fame. Now the largest gay equality organization in Europe, it was formed in 1989 by political activists and others lobbying against section 28 of the Local Government Act. Stonewall works to achieve equality and justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexual people in a number of different ways: policy development; cultural and attitudinal change; lobbying for legal change; providing information; good practice design and advice. Stonewall receives no public funding and raises all its money itself in a range of ways including donations and sponsorships.
