Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation is appealing for volunteers to help with its new newsletter mailshot.
The foundation helps to raise funds for all wards and departments of all six hospitals in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Volunteers are needed to put newsletters into envelopes at Leeds General Infirmary Fundraising Office at the Great George Street entrance, from 10am until 6pm on Wednesday.
It is appealing for volunteers who can spare an hour or two to join in the mailshot effort. Mince pies and refreshments will be provided.
Funds raised by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation are used to assist the hospitals in a variety of ways, such as assisting the purchase of the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, funding the widest range of medical research and improving hospitals for patients and staff.
Stephanie Burland, fundraising assistant, said: "We need lively and enthusiastic people to help us with our first newsletter.
"If you are not able to offer your time on this particular day, we are always looking for people to help at other activities we have coming up.
"Even if people can spare only a few hours a month, every little helps us to raise funds to support patients throughout Yorkshire and beyond. It's proving to be a fantastic opportunity for people to support us."
