Storyville Week

when is this on?

This isn't scheduled anytime soon.

We're broadcasting four major programmes from the Storyville team. The films take a hard look at what it's like being a refugee - whether fleeing persecution, being sent home to an uncertain future, or adapting to life in a foreign community.

These films go to the heart of the issues, taking us into the lives of their subjects and showing us their experiences at close quarters.

The Deported follows five individuals who've been 'removed' from European countries and it shows what happens when they are returned to their own countries.

Refugee Trail
Crossing the desert in pursuit of a better life
Lost in Transit sees at first hand what drives illegal immigrants to seek prosperity in the UK and how they're exploited on the way.

Somewhere Better is a documentary which explores the life and culture of a group of asylum seekers living in Hackney in London.

In My Flesh & Blood, we go through a year in the life of the astonishing Susan Tom, who is single handedly raising eleven special-needs children. We get a remarkable insight into the highs and lows of life in her extraordinary family - both the laughter and the tears.
