NO2ID is the national, non-partisan campaign opposing ID cards and the National Identity Register (NIR).
Follow our campaign through our monthly online videoblog.
In our first video, we explode the myth that the government is going to drop its personal ID plan. It's not going to happen.
Our second and third video, In The Name Of Security parts 1 and 2, is a dramatisation of what could happen in the future if the Government gets its way on ID cards.
In October we held a gala at the Hackney Empire, in our fourth video we hear what some of the comedians think about having ID. Watch and enjoy!

More About NO2ID
Founded in 2004 in response to the Government's stated intention to introduce compulsory registration, fingerprinting and lifelong tracking of UK citizens by means of a centralised biometric database, NO2ID brings together individuals and organisations from all sections of the community to resist and oppose state identity control, and campaign for the abolition of the NIR and repeal of the Identity Cards Act 2006.
Who's Behind NO2ID?
Challenging the government NO2ID is supported by MPs and peers of all parties and a coalition of over 80 NGOs, Unions, political parties, County, District & City Councils and upwards of 30,000 private individuals.
We are funded by membership fees, merchandise sales and fundraising events, as well as grants from the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Ltd, the Andrew Wainwright Reform Trust Ltd and individual and corporate donations.
The Campaign
The campaign is staffed entirely by volunteers and we are constantly on the lookout for people with skills, time and experience that they can offer to the campaign. Our London HQ is the focus of national activities, and we also have a growing network of around 100 active local groups across the UK.
