My Wee African Village

when is this on?

This isn't scheduled anytime soon.

This film follows Qasim Rufique's quest to bring a feeling of Africa to Possilpark in Glasgow.

Qasim and his father Sohail have run their exotic fruit shop selling African and Caribbean foods for the past twenty years. They were inspired by the foods available in the Seychelles where they came from.

Now, Qasim wants to go further. He wants to bring something new to the community by building a supermarket in the form of an African village. He hopes his project will enable him to support his father who has previously been the family's breadwinner.

The film follows Qasim as he negotiates with property owners and looks for funds and sponsors to support his ambitious plan.
