By accessing and using this website you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions you should not access or use the website.
Your Charity Space is a blogspace and you must abide by the House Rules on content, behaviour and responsibilities.
House Rules
You agree to use Community Channel's website in accordance with the following rules.
Posts to the Forums, Your Charity Space and other areas of the website:
1. Must not contain libelous or otherwise illegal content. The moderators can remove the offending content, or refuse to publish the entry.
2. Must be civil and tasteful.
3. Must not be disruptive, offensive or be considered abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
4. Must not be unlawful or contain objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
5. If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users you may have action taken against your accounts.
6. Be patient: users of all ages and abilities may be taking part.
7. No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
8. Deliberate misuse of the complaints facility is not permitted. If you persist in doing this action may be taken against your account.
9. No posts describing violent intentions towards other people and organisations.
10. No personal attacks on other users of the site.
11. No personal details are to be submitted to the site, including email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers or other personal information.
12. No advertising of a commercial nature. Links and promotional text must relate to the the charity and voluntary sector. We reserve the right to determine where this applies and not to publish the material.
13. You need to be 16 years and over to take part in the Forums and in YourCharitySpace
In Your CharitySpace:
14. Contributions are moderated before being posted. Moderation is necessary to ensure that posts adhere to the rules of the site and to protect against libel and defamation. While there might be some delay between submitting and posting we will ensure the process is as quick as possible and avoid any unnecessary delay.
15. You have access to all your own material posted on the site at all times and can edit it, revise it, change the image or video. Any changes you make will require moderation before it is posted again.
16. Contributors are expected to act constructively when they take part in this blogspace. But Community Channel reserves the right to withhold posts it deems are contrary to the website rules or the Terms and Conditions of the site.
17. Ownership of Images and Video: You are responsible for the material that you upload and must ensure that you are the sole owner of the material or you have permission from the copyright owner to use the material on the internet.
You will not:
(i) submit material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from the rightful owner to post the material.
(ii) publish falsehoods or misrepresentations that could damage Community Channel or any third party
(iii) submit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate
(iv) impersonate another person.
18. Copyright: You, the owner of the material uploaded to Your Charity Space, retain copyright over the material uploaded. Rights do not pass to the Channel. In the case that the Channel might want to broadcast a clip from Your Charity Space, permission will be sought from the owner.
19. Music: You accept responsibility for music copyright clearance on any music used in a video clip you upload to Your Charity Space.
20. Contributors: You guarantee that consent from contributors has been secured as legally required for use in all media now known or which may be developed in the future
21. Streamed not Downloaded Video: Your Charity Space uses streaming video to show your clips. Visitors to YCS cannot and are not legally allowed to download or use your video.
