Get Your Films On Air
We broadcast original programmes and the best of terrestrial TV; we showcase the work of new directors, community programme makers and charities. If you've made a film, or are planning to make one, and would like it to be broadcast on the Channel, you'll find all the information you need to get your programme on air right here. Community Channel wants films that reflect the below points:
- Positive stories about your community, your life and the issues that matter to you
- Single programmes or series
- Films that make you think about the world around you, inspire you to take action on the causes and issues that matter to you
- Documentaries, dramas, social campaigning, activism
- Durations of 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes are preferable but not obligatory
Some points to be aware of:
- All material must be cleared and have the necessary paperwork such as music copyright, contributor agreements, stills, artwork etc
- We can't show anything with obvious product placement
- Content should not have a particular political stance or involve party political campaigning
If you have any questions please email acquisitionsgroup@communitychannel.org or call 020 7871 5600 and ask to speak to the Acquisitions Department.
We've done our best to keep the documentation to a minimum - but as we have to obey The Ofcom Broadcasting Code we can't broadcast any programmes for which we don't have a completed set of documents.
