This week the Brilliant Britain team head to beautiful Cumbria to showcase some of the best in local and community projects that do something brilliant everyday.

Whitehaven Beekeepers Association
Kris gets his protective overalls on as he meets up with theCumbria Beekeepers Association, where Val Sullivan, Richard Robinson and Helen Shipton-Smith talk about the importance of bee preservation, and the role they serve in nature as well as to the local community.
Sunbeams Music Therapy
Josh talks to Annie Mawson, the founder of Sunbeams Music Trust in Kendal, about how music can help to develop creative and social skills. The members demonstrate their talents as Josh takes part in a singing workshops.
Florence Mine and Arts Centre
Mine owner Gilbert Finlinson gives Kris a tour of the Florence Mine in Egremont. Kris soon meets paintmaker Jenni Payne and volunteer AlanCleaver who explain how talented and creative people have turned an abandoned iron ore mine into a community arts centre.
Ireby Music Festival and Cumberland Dialect Competition
Kris and Josh visit the Ireby Festival to get a taste of themusical side of Cumbria. The presenters meet up with bluegrass music band ‘Flats and Sharps’, and Kris tests his local accent in the Cumberland Dialect Competition.
Cumbria based acoustic music artist, Elaine Davidson, is this weeks fresh talent as she provides the soothing finale to the episode.
