The Garlic Farm
The farmers at this Isle of Wight farm have been growing garlic for more than 50 years, becoming the UK's largest specialist garlic growers. The farm also produces a dazzling array of unique garlic goodies; from roast garlic jam to ice cream and even beer, should you dare to try something different. Singabout
Independent Arts runs Singabout – a social music therapy group that aims to improve mood and wellbeing. Aimed at sufferers of dementia and stroke victims, Singabout's many groups across the island now attract people from all walks of life for a free, fun sing-a-long. The Footprint Trust
The Footprint Trust aims to reduce the ecological footprint of the Isle of Wight and uses Big Lottery Fund money to promote sustainable living. The trust's motto is "Act Locally, Think Globally" and reinforces their view that everyone working together can help make the world a better place to live. Platform One
Platform One is a youth organisation that focuses on the creative arts and provides an accessible platform and opportunities for young people to get involved in exciting initiatives. In partnership with the University of Chichester and Isle of Wight College, Platform One also runs a foundation degree in commercial music and a BTEC national diploma in music. Scarrots Lane Bakery
Scarrots Lane Bakery – part of Community Action Isle of Wight – is run by the community for the community.
