Inspiring short film series looking at charity leaders' personal 'eureka' moments.
Rosina Pullman – Tax Aid
Rosina has been director of the unique tax advice charity TaxAid for the past 13 years. The charity exists to support people on low incomes who find themselves in crisis with the UK tax authority.
It may surprise people to hear that those with severe mental illness, homeless or in prison have obligations to understand and pay the "right amount of tax" under the law. That is, it is the citizen's duty to get their tax right: this is even the case for people with learning disabilities or those who are illiterate.
Sean Mendez – Solidarity Sports
After travelling the world for a year, Sean founded Solidarity Sports in 2007. The charity aims to nurture children's confidence and help them reach their full potential in any path they choose through sports and healthy initiatives.
He caught the travelling bug early and visited his family in Spain, alone, aged 10. Having graduated from university, he became a filmmaker and produced several documentaries about social concerns.
Claire Barry – Mind Yourself
Claire Barry is Director of Mind Yourself, a charity which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Irish people in London.
Claire has lived in London since 2009 and has 25 experience of working in or consulting to the Not for Profit and statutory sector in Ireland and London.
