Basil Caring tips

- Basil likes to grow in bright, warm conditions so find the warmest place in your house to set it down. The kitchen or living room windowsill might seem like a good place.

- Always water with care, ideally before midday, and avoid splashing the leaves.

- Use the finger test to see if you the soil is dry.

- Basil hates having wet roots overnight, so aim to water plants in the morning if possible. This should help prevent botrytis (powdery mould).
