Where to get fertiliser?
Potassium fertiliser is recommended for flowers and general hardiness. The other kinds include nitrogen (for green leafy growth) and Phosphorus (for roots and shoots). The RHS has a fantastic introduction to fertilising and all the varieties if you want to learn more.

There are many benefits to fertilising you sunflower, it will encourage the sunflower to bloom and it will help give your sunflower the right nutrients to grow taller and have more flowers. However, it is optional so will you fertiliser your sunflower?
Are you watering enough?
As well as feeding your sunflower, make sure to keep your sunflower well watered as it gets bigger! If it’s hot outside, we recommend watering your sunflowers early in the morning. Try to avoid watering in the middle of the day as the water can evaporate.
